Terms of Service

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to use the Service. By using DateKeeper you confirm that you meet these requirements.

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account. Sign in is available by email and password or through Apple or Google. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use. You may delete your account at any time from within the app.

DateKeeper is built for two partners to share a private space. When you connect with a partner, content you add — dates, photos, wishlist items, trips, and similar entries — may be visible to and editable by your partner. Only share content you are comfortable sharing with your partner, and only add another person’s information or images with their consent.

You agree not to:

• use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms;
• upload content that is illegal, infringing, or that you do not have the right to share;
• attempt to access accounts, data, or systems that are not yours;
• interfere with, disrupt, or reverse-engineer the Service; or
• use the Service to harass, abuse, or harm another person.

The Service includes an AI-powered coach that generates date ideas and suggestions. Its output is generated automatically, may be inaccurate or incomplete, and is provided for inspiration only. It is not professional, relationship, medical, or legal advice. Use your own judgement before acting on any suggestion.

You retain ownership of the content you create in DateKeeper. You grant us a limited license to host, store, and process that content solely to operate and provide the Service to you and your partner (for example, storing photos and syncing entries between partners). We do not sell your content.

The Service itself — including its software, design, and branding — belongs to DateKeeper and is protected by applicable laws. These Terms do not grant you any right to our trademarks or to copy or redistribute the Service.

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms or use the Service in a way that risks harm to others or to the Service. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (ownership, disclaimers, and limitation of liability) will survive.

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, to the extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that content will always be preserved or available.

To the extent permitted by law, DateKeeper will not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for loss of data or content, arising from your use of the Service. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Germany, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and subject to any mandatory consumer protections of your country of residence.
